Men using testosterone were 33-42% LESS likely to get prostate cancer than men not on testosterone
Men given 12 or more injections of testosterone per year were 33% LESS likely to get prostate cancer during a 3-year follow-up than men not on testosterone replacement according to data from 189,491 men aged 40-60 years-old.
Men using testosterone gel 330 days or more per year were 42% LESS likely to get prostate cancer than men not on testosterone replacement.
This is the exact opposite of what was believed for many years.

Older men less likely to be hospitalized over one year when using testosterone gel (17% vs 20%)
Men over the age of 65 given testosterone gel were less likely to be hospitalized during the next year compared to men who were given a placebo according to a new study.
Seventeen percent (17%) of men (68 out of 394) given testosterone were hospitalized during the one year study compared to 20% of those (78 out of 394) given placebo.

0.76 percent of men (3 out of 394) given testosterone died during the one year study compared to 1.78% of those (7 out of 394) given placebo.
