Guided self-help helps one-third of patients to lose 5 percent of body weight

Guided self-help is twice as effective at helping people lose weight as minimal guided self-help according to a study from Italy. One-third (33 percent) of patients given guided self-help lost at least 5 pecent of their body weight compared to only 15 percent who were given minimal guided self-help.
