People taking paroxetine (Paxil) for depression were 4-times more likely to commit suicide

Research shows that antidepressants increase the risk of suicide.

People given a diagnosis of depression who were taking paroxetine (Paxil) were 4-times more likely to commit suicide over the next five (5) years compared to people given a diagnosis of depression who were taking no antidepressants according to a recent analysis.

In a study of the SSRI antidepressant paroxetine (Paxil) in adolescents, 8 children developed suicidal thoughts while on the drug, but the study published in a medical journal did NOT mention any of these 8 children, and instead said that there was only one (1) adverse event related to the drug, a headache in one person, notes Prof. Peter Gotzsche, MD in this video clip.

RISPERDAL (RISPERIDONE) PLUS PAXIL (PAROXETINE)

Risperdal (risperidone) plus Paxil (paroxetine) causes weight gain of 30-31 lbs in 4-5 months

Two patients given the antipsychotic drug Risperdal (risperidone) plus the antidepressant Paxil (paroxetine) gained a large amount of weight in a short period of time according to an article from Japan.

The antidepressant Paxil (paroxetine) increases the risk of diabetes 33% -- or 1.3-fold -- according to an analysis by researchers from Charité University Medical Center in Berlin, Germany.
