NESTATIN-1
Japanese scientists discover appetite-regulating molecule Nestatin-1
Japanese scientists discovered a naturally-occuring molecule called Nestatin-1 which helps to regulate appetite. Giving animals injections of this molecule decreased appetite, while blocking the molecule increased appetite. This could lead to an obesity treatment, but if so, it is years away.
