WORKPLACE INJURIES
The very obese are twice as likely to suffer an injury at work
Popele who are the most obese are 2.2 times as likely to suffer an injury at work compared to those who are normal weight according to a study of hourly workers at a U.S. aluminum manufacturing company. "Injuries to the leg or knee were especially prevalent among members of this very obese group," ther paper noted.
