DRUG-INDUCED SIDE EFFECTS

Drug-induced side effects: Deadly Medicines & Organised Crime by Prof. Peter Gotzsche, MD

I am going to read a section from this wonderful book Deadly Medicines and Organised Crime: How Big Pharma Has Corrupted Healthcare by Prof. Peter Gøtzsche, MD.

The section is about drug-induced side effects in the elderly which doctors are often BLIND to.

The reason that I am telling this story is that the SAME THING happened to my mother.

My mother suffered from drug-induced side effects for 40 years, and tragically for the last 3.5 years of her life, and yet my mother’s doctors were blind to this.

DRUG STUDIES

I no longer believe drug studies or drug researchers paid by drug companies

I no longer believe drug studies paid for by the drug companies or drug researchers paid by the drug companies.

I know what they are all going to say.

They are all going to say, “These drugs are safe and effective and more people should use them.”

This is because the ONLY people the drug companies will hire are those people who will say these things and will help them to sell more drugs.

They will NEVER hire anyone who says anything else.

Therefore, I no longer believe drug studies or drug researchers paid by the drug companies.

DESICCATED THYROID

Woman gains 30 lbs & severe fatigue when desiccated thyroid cut from 4 grains to 2 grains, Dr. Starr

In this one-minute audio clip, Mark Starr, MD tells about a woman who had taken 4 grains (260 mg) of desiccated thyroid for more than 50 years. However, after he doctor died, a university endocrinologist cut her dose in half, down to 2 grains (130 mg) and told her how awful it was for her to take 4 grains. However, after doing this, she gained 30 lbs in 3 months, experienced extreme fatigue, had difficulty speaking and could not balance her checkbook.

All of her symptoms resolved once she resumed taking 4 grains.

This story is to point out that modern medicine has been led to believe that the higher doses of desiccated thyroid are dangerous, even though these are the dosages that were used for a long time by many of the great thyroid experts of all time -- an average of 3.5 grains in a long-term study by Jacques Hertoghe, MD. "By a doctor... a doctor prescribed it," Sarah replied.

"I don't remember feeling anything."

"I can't believe... that... you just... back then, but probably still now, that people don't question doctors at all...," Sarah continued.

"This doctor kept upping my dose and upping my dose until I was taking four (4) Xanax, four (4) times per day... 16 Xanax a day."

"I remember, I kept the empty bottles." Read the entire article | Email this article

DRUG COMPANIES

The sale of psychiatric drugs is marketing, not science, says former drug sales rep

"[ The sale of psychiatric drugs is ] marketing… not science… It has nothing to do with science," says former drug sales rep Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau in this YouTube video.

Kathleen was a sales rep for the drug industry for 10 years.

"We did a lot of lunches and dinners, and brought in speakers, and those speakers were, obviously, paid by us.

"And we would waive the renowned studies at them from renowned journals, but, of course, we would never say that these studies were paid for by our [ drug ] company…

"And that the [ paper ] was written by a ghost writer who was paid by our [ drug ] company…

"Or that our [ drug ] company does a ton of advertising in that particular medical journal.

"We'd never say that.

Kathleen is with The Citizens Commission on Human Rights.

A related organization is the The Citizens Commission on Human Rights International.

NUTRITIONAL TREATMENTS

Why does modern medicine fail to consider nutritional therapies asks Jonathan Wright, MD

"Everything in nature including every bone, tissue, nerve and organ in your body is made up of naturally-occurring substances and nothing else."

"So why does modern medicine fail to consider these same substances as the very tools for restoring an ailing body to its original, healthy condition?"

"It seems the most elementary kind of reasoning to me and it makes me wonder why anyone would try to develop unnatural medicines
[ synthetic drugs ] in the first place."
