DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROBLEMS
74% of alcoholics sober & stable after 3.5 years with nutritional therapy, Joan Mathews Larson PhD
Seventy-four percent (74%) of alcoholics were found to be sober and emotionally stable 3.5 years after going through the Health Recovery Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA founded by Joan Mathews Larson PhD who treats drug and alcohol problems as well as anxiety and depression with a nutritional approach.
This compares to about a 5% success with “Talk Therapy” based programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous.
She opened the Center in 1980 after her son had committed suicide in the 1970’s after returning home from a hospital-based “Talk Therapy” program. She thought there must be a better way.
Her treatments are all based on scientific research.
I am posting this because in the past few weeks, US actor Charlie Sheen, star of the Number 1 show on television, “Two an One-Half Men”, who has had a problem with drugs and alcohol, has been all over television.
Addiction specialist, Drew Pinsky, MD—“Dr. Drew”—the doctor on the US television program “Celebrity Rehab”, has also been on several television shows saying that Charlie Sheen needs to go into rehab—a Talk Therapy-based rehabilitation.
I disagree. As Joan Mathews Larson, PhD notes, addiction problems are the result of biochemical glitches.
Biochemical glitches cannot be “talked away”. They cannot be solved with Talk Therapy.
Hopefully someone will tell Dr. Drew and Charlie Sheen about Joan Mathews Larson, PhD and her very successful treatment for drug and alcohol problems.
There needs to be a paradigm shift in the treatment of addiction problems, away from Talk Therapy, and to where it is recognize it as biochemical problem that requires nutritional therapies to solve.

NATURAL TREATMENTS
Cure for alcoholism, anxiety & depression, Joan Mathews Larson - 2 of 3 - Talk Therapy Doesn’t Work
Drug and alcohol problems are the result of biochemical glitches. They are not caused by a lack of will power and cannot be solved with talk therapy. Prescription drugs such as Prozac cannot correct these problems either. I believe the exact same thing is true for anxiety and depression.
In this audio clip, you will hear Dr. Julian Whitaker describe the research of American biochemist, Dr. Roger Williams.
He found that “alcoholic” rats could be cured of their desire for alcohol with large doses of nutrients.
You will then hear Dr. Whitaker interview Joan Mathews Larson, PhD whose son committed suicide about 30 years ago after returning from talk therapy.
Dr. Larson committed her life to finding a better way, and came across the research of Dr. Roger Williams.

NATURAL TREATMENTS
Cure for alcoholism, anxiety & depression, Joan Mathews Larson, PhD - 3 of 3 - You must do lab tests
In this 3rd part of Dr. Julian Whitaker’s interview with Joan Mathews Larson, PhD, she notes that drugs are not the answer for alcohol and drug problems, nor for the treatment of anxiety and depression.
Dr. Larson notes that she is bewildered how doctors can believe that drugs can solve the problem rather than using the natural chemicals that we are made of.
