Overweight people experience a greater desire to eat after seeing or smelling food
When subjects were exposed to the sight and smell of pizza for one minute, "overweight individuals experience a greater motivation to consume food but do not desire or consume greater amounts of food" according to study from researches are the University of Bristol in Bristol, England.
"These findings are consistent with evidence that snacking and meal variability predict weight gain and they expose 'cue reactiveness' as a potential predisposing factor for overweight," the authors of study concluded.
