I learned nine (9) things about doctors in the last 17 years of my parents’s life (1994-2011) as I watched my mother suffer tragically and die 5-10 years prematurely because of all the drugs that she was given.

For 17 years (1994-2011), I watched doctors do things that made absolutely no sense to me.

Doctors would often do the exact opposite of what I thought they should do.

For example, they would give my mother a drug, my mother would get worse, but rather than stopping the drug and trying something else, they would double the dose of the drug or add another drug which only made my mother worse and worse.

I spent years trying to figure out why doctors did these things which caused my mother to suffer tragically and die 5-10 years prematurely.

I learned nine (9) things about doctors during this time.

The first thing that I learned is that doctors are blind to drug-induced side effects.

Two hundred (200) prescription drugs used in the U.S. list depression or suicidal symptoms as possible adverse effects according to a new paper from researchers at Columbia University in New York, NY, USA.

The percentage of people reporting depression using drugs with depression as a possible side effect were:

• 4.7% of people taking no (0) risky drugs
• 6.9% of people taking one (1) risky drug
• 9.5% of people taking two (2) risky drugs
• 15.3% of people taking three (3) risky drugs

I am going to read a section from this wonderful book Deadly Medicines and Organised Crime: How Big Pharma Has Corrupted Healthcare by Prof. Peter Gøtzsche, MD.

The section is about drug-induced side effects in the elderly which doctors are often BLIND to.

The reason that I am telling this story is that the SAME THING happened to my mother.

My mother suffered from drug-induced side effects for 40 years, and tragically for the last 3.5 years of her life, and yet my mother’s doctors were blind to this.
