"HCG is ineffective in dieting and should not be used [in the treatment of obesity]," according to review paper from Germany (Rabe et al, 1987). This agrees with the review by Greenway and Bray (1977) that I reviewed a couple of weeks ago. 10 positive studies, 10 negative studies
They noted that ten studies found HCG to increase weight loss and ten studies found that it did not.
2 positive studies double-blinded, but most studies not controlled
They noted that while two of the positive studies were double-blinded, most of the positive studies were not controlled.
4 negative studies controlled, 6 positive studies double-blinded
They noted that four of the ten negative studies were controlled—HCG versus no HCG—and the other six were double-blinded—HCG versus placebo.
No difference in weight loss or body composition
These studies found no difference in weight loss or body composition.
Most HCG researchers conclude that HCG is not effective
The note that “In recent publications describing mostly well-documented double-blind studies, authors largely reject HCG administration in dieting.”
They conclude by saying, “HCG is ineffective in dieting and should not be used.”

. . . . .
Hello everyone:
Please note the following conclusions as appearing on this website:
1.10 positive studies, 10 negative studies
>And then?: 50% concluded hCG was effective. Why since 1987 no one dared to perform a strictly controlled Test to ascertain the validity of the remaining 50%?.
2.2 positive studies double-blinded, but most studies not controlled
They noted that while two of the positive studies were double-blinded, most of the positive studies were not controlled.
>And then? Why nobody questioned the validity of those uncontrolled studies?
3.No difference in weight loss or body composition
These studies found no difference in weight loss or body composition.
>What method they've used to assess body composition?:I will tell you: NONE.
Did they perform an impedanciomethry? NO
Did they perform a plicometry under controlled conditions? NO
Did they perform ultrasound adipose tissue tests? NO
Aside from these evaluations, is there any other method to effectively evaluate Dr. Simeons hypothesis in a University setting? YES. Did they perform any? NO
Anyhow, our studies reached the same conclusiosn regarding weight loss: compared to placebo, there was no statistically any significant difference with hCG-treated volunteers. But regarding fat loss in specific body areas, absolutely YES.
Following the line of reasoning as apperaing on those studies,if we administer a diuretic instead of hCG: Could we obtain a significant weight loss?.YES . May we therefore conclude that a diuretic is an effective weight loss method? NO
Obesity is a disease characterized by the acumulation of fat well beyond daily requirements.
Fat loss is the ONLY VALID assessment of the disorder.
Please note the one of the aspects from the method used by Rahbe studies:
In addition, 1 of the subgroups in each main group was treated with hCG injections (250 IU/day im for 21 days)
>The MUST dose is 125 IU daily.MUST. Why do Rahbe suppose that giving twice the standard dosage he would obtain a better result?. Has he ever heard of dose/response relationship effect?.
For example and regarding hCG, if you administer 30,000 IU of hCG you will get a biological estimulative effect, whereas if you give 80,000 you will get immunosuppresion. That?s the reason why the fetus (a 50% foreign body for the mother) survives in mother's womb, because during pregnancy HUGE amounts of hCG are secreted.
And last but not least: when patients voices will be finally attended? Browse their opinions regarding the method. http://hcgobesity.org/opinions.htm
If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.
