Zyprexa (olanzapine) dose of 13.3 mg per day or more increases risk of large weight gain 3-fold

The antipsychotic drug Zyprexa (olanzapine) is associated with weight gain. The typical dose is 5 to 20 mg per day. A dose of 13.3 mg per day or more increases the risk of a large weight gain 3-fold.
Large weight gain is defined as gaining 7 percent or more of body weight.
