"People with asthma are far more likely to be obese than people who do not have asthma," concludes a new study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Obesity in those with asthma vs no-asthma: 32.8% vs 22.8%

Among people with asthma, the prevalence of obesity during the past two decades increased from 21.3 percent to 32.8 percent, whereas the prevalence in people without asthma increased from 14.6 percent to 22.8 percent.

It seems possible that people with asthma may exercise less, thus being more likely to be obese.
