Byetta (exenatide) causes weight loss of 4.6 pounds after 0.5 years, 9.7 lbs after 1.5 years

Type 2 diabetics taking the anti-diabetes drug Byetta (exenatide) lost an average of 4.6 pounds after six months and 9.7 pounds after a year-and-a-half according to a new study from New Orleans. Side Effects
Side effects: nausea and hypoglycemia
The most common side effects were mild nausea and hypoglycemia.
Subjects: 314 diabetics
The study involved 314 type 2 diabetics.
