Byetta (exenatide) causes weight loss of 3 pounds in six months with 5 mcg, 4.6 lbs with 10 mcg

Weight loss is dose-dependent with the anti-diabetes drug Byetta (exenatide). Type 2 diabetics taking 5 mcg (micrograms) twice a day lost an average of 3.1 pounds after six months compared to 4.8 pounds for those taking 10 mcg twice a day. REFERENCE
