    Approximately 80 percent of people taking Meridia (sibutramine) and Xenical (orlistat) are women according to prescription data from the UK. Subjects

    Subjects : 16,021 taking Xenical, 12,336 taking Meridia

    The data included 16,021 people prescribed Xenical (orlistat) and 12,336 people prescribed Meridia (sibutramine).

    This is the same as in the US

    Although I cannot find the paper right now, women in the US also make up about 80 percent of diet pill users.
