Liquids consumed 10 times faster than solids, 3 times faster than semi-solids

A given amount of apples was consumed 10 times faster when in liquid form (apple juice) compare to eating whole apples, and 3 times faster than when consumed in semi-solid form (apple sauce) according to a 1977 study. REFERENCE
