Weight loss was significantly greater when the dose of Meridia used was greater than 15 mg.
Meridia's effect on increasing systolic blood pressure was greater in patients who weighed more than 202 pounds and younger than 44-year-old. Whereas the effect on diastolic systolic was greater only in patients who weighed more than 202 pounds.
The study analyzed the combined results of 21 placebo-controlled, double-blind, randomized trials of sibutramine (Meridia).
