The antipsychotic drug Risperdal (risperidone) causes women to gain an average of 14.7 pounds in five years, and men to gain an average of 6.6 pounds according to a study from the Karolinska Institutet at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. 44 lbs Weight Gain
One women gained more than 44 pounds
One woman gained more than 44 pounds.
7% Did Not Gain Weight
Fifteen patients (7%) maintained their weight
Fifteen out of the 215 patients (7 percent) maintained their weight.

Subjects : 215 psychotic patients treated with Risperdal (risperidone)
The study analyzed weight data from 215 psychotic patients treated with Risperdal (risperidone) for 5 years.
