High glycemic index diet increases the risk of endometrial cancer 18 percent

The one-fourth of people eating a diet with the highest glycemic index or highest glycemic load were 26 percent more likely to develop colorectal cancer compared to the one-fourth eating a diet with the lowest glycemic load. This according to an analysis of 39 studies. Conclusion
Conclusion: Glycemic index and glycemic load increase the risk of colorectal cancer
“In conclusion, we found evidence of an association between high consumption of [glycemic load] and [glycemic index] and the risk of colorectal or endometrial cancer,” the authors of the paper concluded.
