For 30 years, Joan Mathews Larson, PhD has been treating addiction, anxiety and depression with natural supplements in order to correct the underlying biochemical problems which cause these conditions.
In this video clip, she notes that biochemical problems that cause suicidal depression are completely different than that of someone who is simply depressed.
She also notes that having someone who is suicidal sign a contract, promising not to kill themselves, is a complete waste of time.
Don't despair. There is hope. Properly identifying and correcting the underlying biochemical glitch will solve the problem.
“I want to talk about suicidal depression because I lost my own teenage son to suicide.
“Now, many treatment places want contracts from people [ promising ] not to kill themselves.
“That’s just a complete waste of time.
“There is a real chemistry behind that type of person and it differs completely from the depressed person.”
Dr. Larson is the author of “7 Weeks to Sobriety”, “Depression Free”, and “7 Weeks to Emotional Healing”.
