A concentrated form of the herbal extract Rhodiola Rosea increased average lifespan of fruit flies by 43%, and increased maximum lifespan by 33%.
This according to studies from researchers at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
An abstract of one of their studies was presented at a Life Extension conference at UCLA in the Spring of 2008.
The previously found that the non-concentrated form increased average life span of fruit flies by 7%.
In November 2007, Dr. Mehmet Oz was on the television show Oprah talking about Rhodiola rosea and, if I remember correctly, said, “I love it.”
