Thirty-three postmenopausal obese women taking bromocriptine lost 2.5 percent of their bodyweight in six weeks, and 11.7% body fat without changing their diet or exercise according to a 1992 study.
“This dopamine agonist has been shown to reset circadian rhythms that are altered in obese animals and to reduce body fat levels in several animal models,” the authors noted.
