Women can reduce their risk of cardiovascular problems by trimming 2-4 inches off their waist a recent study suggests.

A majority of the women who achieved this reduced at least one risk factor by 10 percent or more.

    These risk factors included:
    ?????? total cholesterol
    ?????? LDL cholesterol
    ?????? triglycerides, and
    ?????? diastolic blood pressure.

The study involved 110 caucasian women aged 18- to 68-years-old with a body mass index of at least 25.
