"The prevalence of obesity... varies tenfold among  countries, from a low of 4% in Japan and Korea, to 30% or more in the United States and Mexico," notes a recent report from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) which has been around for 50 years.
It's mission is to "promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world."
