    Drinking two servings of milk per day reduced the risk of obesity in both middle-school girls by 19 percent according to a study from researchers at the University of Michigan.

    This effect was not seen in boys.

    Subjects: 1714 sixth grade students from Michigan

    The study involved 1,714 sixth grade students from 20 schools in southeastern Michigan with a median age of 11-years-old who were enrolled in Project Healthy Schools.
