35.8% of U.S. men are obese versus 35.5% of U.S. women

“Gender Gap Closing: Ten years ago, the obesity rate for women was significantly higher than the rate for men — 33.4 percent compared with 27.5 percent,” according to the 2013 report titled F as in Fat: How Obesity Policies are Failing in America, 2013 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
“Currently, men’s (35.8 percent) and women’s (35.5 percent) obesity rates are essentially the same.”
