The average weight of American women is 17 pounds more than 20 years ago (1994-2014), increasing from 152 pounds to 169 pounds, while their height remained the same according to a study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The data is based on an analysis of a sample of 19,151 people who underwent medical examinations and were interviewed at home between 2011 and 2014.
