People consuming more than one can of artificially-sweetened cola per week were 18% more likely to have died during a 23 year follow-up (1981-2004) compared to those consuming none according to the Leisure World Cohort Study.
Subjects: 8644 women and 4980 men
The study analyzed data on 8644 women and 4980 men aged 44 to 101 years with a median age of 74 years.
