Drinking 1-3 cups of coffee per day is associated with 8% lower risk of death

Among people who had never smoked, people who drank 1.1 to 3 cups of coffee per day had a 8% lower risk of dying over some number of years compared to people who were not coffee drinkers according to an analysis of data from 74,890 women in the Nurses’ Health Study, 93,054 women in the Nurses’ Health Study II, and 40,557 men in the Health Professionals Follow-up Study.
