Estrogen replacement has no effect on weight

ESTROGEN REPLACEMENT is not associated with weight gain or an increase in belly fat commonly seen in postmenopausal women according to a 15-year study.

The study, published in the Journal of American Medical Association, involved 671 women ages 65 to 94.
