U.S. Food Consumption: Caloric sweetener intake has increased 26% since 1970

From 1970 to 1997 U.S. intake of caloric sweeteners increased 26 percent per person, from 122 pounds to 154 pounds per person according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service.
