U.S. Food Consumption: Fruit intake has increased 24% since 1970

From 1970 to 1997, U.S. intake of fruits, including fresh and processed, increased 24 percent per person, from 238 pounds to 295 pounds per person according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service.
