Acomplia (rimonabant) is a selective CB1 endocannabinoid receptor antagonist indicated for the treatment of obesity. The drug works by blocking endogenous cannabinoid binding to neuronal CB1 receptors. It is the only endocannabinoid receptor antagonist in clinical development and thus offers a unique therapeutic approach to appetite control and weight reduction. It will be interesting to see how the clinical trial progress and if any side effects are noted. The loss of 10% of one's body weight if overwieght or obese has significant health benefits.

Do you know the release date of this drug? Or when they are planning to?
