Acomplia’s (rimonabant) increases need for antidepressants

Acomplia (rimonabant) increased the need for antidepressant drugs according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) briefing document about the drug. Antidepressant were prescribed for 4.8 percent of patients on 20 mg of Acomplia versus 2.9 percent of patients on placebo.
