Antipsychotic drug weight gain: Risperdal: 4.6 lbs in two-and-a-half-months

A standard dose of the antipsychotic drug Risperdal (risperidone) causes an average weight gain of 4.6 pounds in two-and-a-half-months according to recent analysis.
Placebo was associated with a weight loss of 1.6 pounds.
