“In many places, medicine and health care are wasting societal resources and becoming a threat to human well-being,” notes John Ioannidis from Stanford University.
Later he continues on this topic by saying, “However, with 20% of GDP being spent on health and health care so inefficiently, with such limited evidence or with conflicted evidence, medicine and health care can become a major threat to health and well-being.”
“However, too much medicine and too much health care is already causing harm.”
