The prevelance of obesity in U.S. adults is lower among those with more than a high school education compared to those with a high school education or less: 29 percent versus 34 percent. Obestiy Rates by Education Level
Obesity rates among U.S. men over time
The prevelance of obesity by education level according to the latest survey taken in 1999-2002 are as follows:
- 34.0 percent for those with less than a high school education
- 33.8 percent for those with a high school education
- 28.5 percent for those with more than a high school education
