The U.S. has the highest first-day infant death rate out of all the industrialized countries in the world as noted on CBS News’s website here.
Babies in the U.S. are more likely to die during their first year of life than all other wealthy countries as noted on TIME magazine’s website here.
The article also notes that “U.S. babies were… 2.3 times more likely to experience sudden infant death syndrome.” (The evidence suggests that vaccines are the cause of sudden infant death syndrome.)
An article on Vox posted here says, “American kids are 70 percent more likely to die before adulthood than kids in other rich countries. A new study ranks 20 wealthy countries on childhood deaths. The U.S. comes in last.”
An article on NPR’s website notes that more American women are dying of pregnancy-related complications than any other developed country. And the U.S. is the only country where this rate is increasing.
