Xenical causes weight loss of 4.7% in women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

Xenical (orlistat) causes a weight loss of 4.7 percent in women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome compared to a weight loss of 1 percent for women given Glucophage (metformin). Subjects: Average of 27-years-old and BMI of 36.7
On average the women were 27-years-old and had a body mass index (BMI) of 36.7.
Both drugs reduced total testosterone
Both drugs reduced total testosterone.
Xenical (orlistat) reduced it from 115 ng/dl to 94 ng/dl, and metformin reduced it from 120 ng/dl to 97 ng/dl.
