“Dr. [William] O’Neill says he has prescribed hydroxychloroquine to help numerous coronavirus patients, and saw improvement in all of them.”
William O’Neill, MD is a cardiologist and medical director at the Henry Ford Health System which has six (6) hospitals in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. O’Neill was one of the coauthors of the study which analyzed 2,541 COVID-19 patients hospitalized between March 10, 2020 and May 2, 2020 across Henry Ford Health System’s six (6) hospitals, and found that patients given hydroxychloroquine alone were 66% less likely to die than patients who were not given the drug, and those given hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin were 71% less likely to die.
William O’Neill, MD, a cardiologist and a medical director at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, says that he as well as his colleagues at the University of Washington—I am going to guess that he meant to say Washington University, which is in St. Louis, Missouri—and the University of Minnesota have given hydroxychloroquine to help 400 COVID-19 patients, and they have not seen any adverse effects as noted in an interview by Sharyl Attkisson on the TV show Full Measure which aired on May 17, 2020.
