Morocco, with a population of 36 million, has only had 214 deaths from Covid-19 as of June 22, 2020.
Morocco’s death rate per capita from Covid-19 is 40-times lower than that of Europe and 62-times lower than that of the U.S.
Jaouad Zemmouri, a Moroccan scientist, believes that this is because Morocco uses hydroxychloroquine as noted in an article published on Morocco World News on June 22, 2020.
If the U.S. had Morocco’s death rate based on population size, only 1,968 people would have died in the U.S. from Covid-19 as of June 22, 2020 rather than 122,610.
