People put on a low-calore diet consisting of two calorie-restricted normal-food meals and two formula-diet meal-replacement sachets providing a total caloric intake of 1200-1500 calories per day depending on body size and exercise levels lost an average of 19.6 lbs after one year according to a new study from Sweden.
This weight loss was 10.1% of their original body weight.
