The one-fifth of women consuming the most non-fried fish were 8% less likely to die during a 16-year follow-up than the one-fifth of women consuming the least according to a study of 240,729 men and 180,580 women from the NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study.

However, women with the highest fried fish consumption was associated with a 3% higher risk of dying (the one-fourth consuming the most
vs the one-fourth consuming the least) during the 16 year follow-up.
